Recall Alert: Clicks Pulls 'Made for Tots' Snack Following Listeria Detection
Health and wellness retailer Clicks has initiated a voluntary recall of its Made for Tots Corn Puffs Chicken (12g). The move comes after a specific batch tested positive for non-pathogenic Listeria contamination.
While the strain identified is generally not associated with listeriosis, the severe and potentially life-threatening disease, the National Consumer Commission (NCC) noted that rare, isolated cases of the human illness have been reported with this strain.
The Affected Batch Details
A total of 1,152 units are affected. While 804 units were successfully removed from shelves, 348 units were sold to consumers in South Africa, Lesotho, and via the Clicks online store.
